Bad News

The bad news is that every human being, each and every person, is born spiritually dead and separated from God. The only exception is Jesus Christ in His humanity. He was both sinless in His birth and in His life.

If you look in the Bible, in the book of Romans chapter 3, verse 10, you will see the spiritual condition of all other members of the human race, no matter what his or her reputation or position or office may have been in this life. "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" Romans 3 verse 23.

Romans 3:9ff."What then? Are we (Jews) better than they (Gentiles)? Not at all; for we have already charged that both Jews and Gentiles are all under sin; as it is written, "There is none righteous, not even one; There is none who understands, There is none who seeks for God; All have turned aside, together they have become useless; There is none who does good, there is not even one."

This helps us to see that the human race, apart from the grace of God, is in very bad shape. This passage of Scripture not only tells us we are under sin, but it goes on to say we don't understand God and we do not seek God.

That means we are absolutely hopeless and helpless apart from God. If we were left to our natural desires we would all die and go to hell, separated from God forever. It is sin that creates a barrier which separates man from God that is invisible apart from God's Provision.
